Inner Age Journey

How old is your body on the inside? Blood is a powerful indicator of health. It can reveal your body’s secrets, show you which diseases you’re most at risk for, and shine a light on the deficiencies that prevent you from feeling your best.

With this Arete Member Journey, you get access to a blood test and InsideTracker, a science-backed tool that shows you exactly how to use your blood results to live your healthiest, longest life.

Using your body’s data, InsideTracker will show you the foods, supplements, and exercises you need for optimal health. This is unlike health plans you may have tried before because it’s based entirely on your body’s needs.

Plus, as part of your journey, you’ll discover your InnerAge, which is calculated based on your blood results.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This test is far more comprehensive, and it’s designed to improve health even in the absence of disease.

During a routine physical, your doctor might look at a few standard biomarkers, like cholesterol, triglycerides, and glucose. You’ll receive a short printout with blood values, but unless something is seriously wrong, you won’t receive much context or guidance.

InsideTracker’s test goes far deeper. In addition to the standard biomarkers, it looks at dozens of less-common biomarkers. Then your data populates a personal dashboard that shows you what each biomarker means, how it affects your overall health, and how to improve your results.

With your dashboard, you also receive access to a suite of tools that allow you to add more data. You can upload your DNA, sync your fitness tracker, or activate a food-and-habit tracker to get more insight about your daily routine.

All of this data leads to better health recommendations and insights. And with follow-up blood testing, you’ll be able to verify all the ways your health is improving.

  • Yes. In addition to blood, InsideTracker allows you to upload your DNA and sync a fitness tracker.

Doing this will unlock additional features and improve the quality of your personalized recommendations.

  • InsideTracker is powered by a type of artificial intelligence (AI) called knowledge representation and reasoning (KRR).

KRR systems are used to make decisions like an expert, and InsideTracker’s has expertise in nutrition, exercise physiology, disease prevention, and longevity. It has been trained on more than 7,100 large, randomized clinical studies, and it cross-references those against your health data to find recommendations that apply to people like you.

With scientific integrity at the core of everything the company does, you can be sure you’re getting the best recommendations research can offer.

  • Your health concierge will help schedule your test. It will take place at a Quest Lab, and there are thousands in the United States.

  • Maybe you heard the company discussed by a health podcaster like Andrew Huberman. Or maybe you saw it covered in a newspaper or magazine—InsideTracker has been featured in Wall Street Journal, Outside Magazine, and CNN (which called InsideTracker “The best blood test you’ll ever take.”).

It’s hard to say where you heard about the company, because it’s been discussed a lot over the years. InsideTracker was founded in 2009 by researchers at Tufts, Harvard, and MIT. Since then, it’s become a respected leader in science-driven personalized health.m description

  • We don't recommend testing with InsideTracker during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or while planning conception. Our optimal biomarker zones do not currently account for the biological changes during pregnancy.

Further, the research supporting our recommendations is not based on pregnant people, so we can’t comment on their safety and efficacy during pregnancy.

In general, we recommend waiting at least 7 months after pregnancy to test with InsideTracker. This allows most biomarkers to return to their pre-pregnancy levels. If you are breastfeeding, please wait an additional 2 to 3 months from the time you stop.

  • Absolutely. InsideTracker is fully compliant with the HIPAA Standards for Privacy, Electronic Transactions and Security (including the HITECH Act and the Omnibus Rule of 2013). The company has implemented policies, processes, and procedures designed to ensure compliance with Federal security laws, regulations, and rules. And it monitors ongoing compliance efforts and maintains various reporting mechanisms that are required by law or requested by its customers.

Let’s maximize your health and longevity.
